Through my research I discovered how the media theorists Curran and Seaton take a different approach from Hesdmondhalgh, in that they state that commercial success comes from having conglomerate status. However, through learning how Disney leveraged grassroots campaigns, as Loach did with eOne, I am able to investigate similar marketing methods. This may include synergetic links on a film website, such as 'behind the scenes' stories, social media and merchandise.
